and Licensing Division, dated January 30, 2017

Recommendations:
THAT the report dated January 30, 2017 from Development
Services Department – Building, Bylaw, and Licensing
Division, regarding Vector Control Program Options for
Abatement on Private Property be received for information;
AND THAT staff be directed to implement Option 1 for the
contracting of vector assessment and abatement services
by a third party contractor for complaints received about
vectors on private property as recommended in the report;
AND THAT staff be directed to prepare a Request for
Proposal for a vector control contractor to provide this
service to the City;
AND THAT the $35,000 estimated to be required for Option 1
be forwarded to the Finance Committee for identification of
a funding source.

Port Metro Vancouver; TransLink; the municipality adjacent
to the area covered by the plan, being the City of Burnaby;
and affected First Nations, being: Musqueam Nation,
Kwikwetlem First Nation, Sto:lo Nation, Sto:lo Tribal
Council, Skawahlook First Nation, Soowahlie First Nation,
Seabird Island Band, Shxw’owhamel First Nation,
