Recommendations:
THAT the proposed consultation plan outlined in the report
dated March 24, 2016 from Development Services Department
– Planning Division regarding Public Consultation Plan for
the Review of Land Use Policies in the Moody Centre Transit-
Oriented Development Area be endorsed;
AND THAT, per section 475 of the Local Government Act, the
City formally notify the following organizations in writing of
the review of land use policies for this area that is under way:
the Greater Vancouver Regional District (Metro Vancouver);
School District 43; TransLink; the municipalities potentially
affected by land use changes for this area, being: the City of
Coquitlam and the City of Burnaby; and, affected First
Nations, being: Musqueam Nation, Kwikwetlem First Nation,
Sto:lo Nation, Sto:lo Tribal Council, Skawahlook First Nation,
Soowahlie First Nation, Seabird Island Band, Shxw’owhamel
First Nation, Lyackson First Nation, Penelakut Tribe,
Hul’qumi’num Treaty Group, Stz’uminus First
Nation, Cowichan Tribes, Halalt First Nation, Lake Cowichan
First Nation, Squamish Nation, and Tsleil-Waututh Nation.
