5.1 Recommendation:
THAT the following recommendations from the Finance
Committee Meeting held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 be
ratified:
FC17/041
THAT the five-year financial plan list the TransPort Moody Master
Transportation Plan 1% levy as a separate line item beginning in
2018.
FC17/043
THAT a notation be added to 2017 property tax notices to indicate
that 3.77% of the 5.97% total tax increase is attributable to the loss
of the Burrard Thermal generating capacity grant in 2017.
FC17/044
THAT staff be directed to prepare the 2017-2021 Financial Plan
Bylaw and 2017 Tax Rates Bylaw for Council consideration as
recommended in the report dated April 7, 2017 from Finance and
Technology Department – Financial Services Division regarding
2017-2021 Five Year Financial Plan Approval.

THAT the $1,500 cost for the Play Box concrete pad at
Seaview Park be funded from Council Contingency.
FC17/046
THAT the budget of $11,200 to fund the chafer beetle coupon
program and an enhanced education program for chafer beetle
control on residential lawns for 2017 and 2018 be funded from
Council Contingency.

THAT the report dated April 10, 2017 from Parks and
Recreation Commission regarding Dog Waste Diversion
