THAT staff report back with confirmed cost estimates for
running a pilot program for local transit service to run a
trolley or trolley-like vehicle to connect Inlet Centre,
Rocky Point, Moody Centre, and parking areas on a Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday afternoon schedule, from June to
August 2018, to address the concerns with weekend traffic
congestion, parking, and pedestrian safety;
AND THAT staff investigate cost sharing opportunities with
TransLink, based on the traditional fare box subsidies of
existing bus transit service.

Recommendations:
THAT staff report back with confirmed cost estimates for
running a pilot program for local transit service to run a
trolley or trolley-like vehicle to connect Inlet Centre,
Rocky Point, Moody Centre, and parking areas on a Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday afternoon schedule, from June to
August 2018, to address the concerns with weekend traffic
congestion, parking, and pedestrian safety;
AND THAT staff investigate cost sharing opportunities with
TransLink, based on the traditional fare box subsidies of
existing bus transit service.
